Only 16 km from the mainland, the island is synonymous with Rawa Safaris Island Resort, a charming international standard resort and exclusive private hideaway.
The beach is of powdery white coral sand and paved walkways shaded by traveller’s palems lead to comfortable chalets. The De Rawa Restaurant  serves a wide variety of local favourites as well as Chinese and Western cuisine. Visits to this privately owned island is strictly by reservation only.
Jetty: Regular speedboat services from Mersing ferry terminal exclusively for resort guests.
Things to do: Soak up the sun in peaceful  privacy. Explore fascinating caves and scuba-dive at offshore coral reefs to observe and photograph the exciting underwater world. Check out the rare white peacocks that wander around the resort.

Pulau Rawa is famous for it's tall palm trees, white coral sand and off shore coral reef which is rich with marine life and neon-green coloured fishes and other remarkable forms of sea life.

This vivid beauty lies 16 km off the coast of Mersing. With many caves and coral reefs with abundant tropical fishes and other forms of marine life, the island remains hidden due to the wooden chalets nestled among coconut groves. This heavenly locale, among the waters of the South China sea, takes one away from every tension and stress of all kinds.

Snorkel and diving equipment, to enable the visitors to come in close contact with the underwater life, is provided at the Rawa Safaris Island Resort. These waters are safe for canoeing and windsurfing. Other sports that can be enjoyed here are; fishing, skin-diving, scuba-diving, shell collection, lobster-hunting and underwater photography. Dolphins can also be spotted here.
